"Conservation Conversation"

Our next meeting on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 6:30-7:45pm. The location will be the Lake Lure Town Hall.

Come see a clip from The End of Suburbia and learn how our community can build resilience as we face economic instability caused by peak oil and climate change.  This is the focus of the international Transition Movement, branches of which are currently working in Asheville, Black Mountain, Waynesville, Marshall, and Hendersonville.

The presentation will explore the positive vision of the Transition Movement and specifically what Transition Asheville has been doing to manifest this vision.

Presenters are Stan Corwin who is a founding member of Transition Asheville's Initiating Group and Chas Jansen who has worked with Transition Asheville over the last year. He is currently leading his third Transition Handbook discussion group at the College for Seniors on UNCA's campus.

We will continue our discussion of Transition and our community over dinner and/or drinks at Alyssa's at 8:00pm, after our meeting.

All our welcome to join us, please let Diana Richards wolfeyes20201@bellsouth.net know if you would like to reserve a seat for the dinner discussion.
